Growing up on a small property in rural South Australia, I was always around both domesticated animals and wildlife. I stepped into the veterinary industry when I was offered a position as a receptionist at a busy emergency vet hospital in regional South Australia. I was given the option to become a veterinary nurse shortly after, a role I fell in love with. Working in a mixed practice clinic, we would work with any animal great or small, including injured wildlife. Because of this, I also became very involved in wildlife rehabilitation and rescue, often rehabilitating animals like bearded dragons, goannas, kangaroos, magpies and various other Australian wildlife.

In 2019 I decided to do some travelling and moved to Calgary for a working holiday. In 2021 I became a permanent resident of Canada and decided to restart my career with animals. I started working at Montgomery Village Vet Clinic in late 2021. In 2022 I was generously offered an opportunity to go back to school to become a Veterinary Technologist, which I am currently working through.

In my free time I hang out with my partner and stepson, play videogames and cuddle with my lovely kitties, Link and Zelda.
